Watch the water content of your concrete. Too web concrete creates inconsistencies in the color and finish of both integral color and color hardener.

Stamping concrete before it has properly set can cause bumps and waviness in the slab and tends to trap water and make pockets between the concrete and tool.

Make sure you have enough stamping tools to install the project. You should be able to span the slab and have one tool to start the next row of stamping.

Taking your time cutting in joints, edges, and along walls; extra care with hand cutting makes the difference between a poor and a great job.

Protecting the surrounding area prior to placing concrete. This is the key to minimizing customer complaints. Concrete, color, sealer are difficult to remove from surrounding surfaces.
